Can Mind Control bring you Discipline in Finishing your work?

How I used my love of childhood video games to realize I needed more Discipline in my work . . .

Ok so you showed up. You put your butt in the chair or whatever your show up routine entails. So now what?

You’re there waiting, and your muse stood you up. Inspiration must have better things to do, because it’s no where to be found. The cliched “staring at the blank screen” could be your status update, yet again.

No one starts something new or makes a goal, hoping they never finish it. So we have good intentions, we just need a bit of Discipline.

So how do we get to the next level?

When I was a young girl I wanted nothing more than a Sega Genesis and the Sonic the Hedgehog game. Once I got it, I couldn’t stop playing. There was always another level to achieve, more coins to gather, and another showdown with the destructor of doom.

Back then life was simple, goals were straight forward. Have your Hedgehog run as fast as he can, remember all the booby traps, and just keep playing until you achieved the next level.

So why is it so hard now? If anything life has gotten easier for me. Now I have the internet and all of it’s glory at my finger tips day and night. As an adult I know that I can do…
