The Book
Written by J D Salinger in serial form and first published as a book on July 16, 1951. The book was initially written for adults. But over the years, adolescents have been drawn to it by the relatable angst and alienation from society.
Holden Caulfield, the book’s protagonist, is considered to be the icon for teenage rebellion.


The Most Famous Connected Murder — JOHN LENNON
On December 9th, 1980, John Lennon arrived at his apartment in the Dakota Building on 72nd Street and Central Park. It was late, 11 pm, as he got out of his limo and headed towards the entrance.
On the way, he passed a fan he had signed an autograph for hours earlier, Mark David Chapman.
Chapman pulled out a .38-caliber revolver and fired four times into Lennon’s back. The singer would be officially pronounced dead at the hospital.
